Flat back. Hollow primary. Polished micro-bevel.
A hand plane is only as good as the blade in it. The most expensive Lie-Nielsen or vintage Norris infill is no better than a $30 Stanley once the blade is dull — and a $30 Stanley with a flat back and a polished edge will take see-through shavings.
We flat-lap the back to mirror across the first 10mm above the edge, hollow-grind the primary bevel at 25°, then polish a 30° micro-bevel on waterstones up to 8000 grit. Block plane blades are ground to their specific bed angle. Pitted vintage irons can be restored to working sharpness — quoted per blade after inspection.
