Reel mowers are about geometry, not edge. The reel blades scissor-cut against a fixed bedknife — if either is worn out of true the grass tears instead of slicing. The result is brown tips for days afterward.
We grind the full reel on a precision cylinder grinder to restore relief on every blade, then flatten and grind the bedknife. The two are re-set to the manufacturer's recommended clearance (typically a single sheet of paper of contact). Send the reel and bedknife unbolted from the mower — no need to ship the whole machine.
