A clipper blade is two flat steel faces, cutter and comb, that shear hair where the teeth cross. It goes blunt when those faces lose their flatness and the shallow hollow that keeps them touching along one line. That is why sandpaper, honing stones and drill-mounted discs never fix a clipper blade.
A 5-in-1 head adds a sliding plate and a lever that sets the length, so there are more parts to separate, clean and put back. Both cutting faces are reground dead flat, the hollow and edge are re-set at the factory angle, and the head is reassembled, oiled and tested before it is packed. Turnaround is 7 to 11 business days.
